Inspirations for the film include counter-culture American icons such as Roger Corman, Russ Meyer and Dennis Hopper. Satire of sex, drugs and rock n’ roll abounds, with a particular look at the US culture of consumption, the medical community and follies of youth. With a hip, youthful score and fringe dynamics, the film brings an avant-garde, contemporary spin to a classic genre.
